We do not collect your GPS location, browsing history, device contacts, or any data outside the app.
Tell Chester helps families shop smarter by showing real local prices. To make that possible, the shopping data you enter or scan is combined with data from many other households into anonymous, aggregated statistics — for example, "the typical price of a gallon of milk in Denver."
We may share or sell these aggregated insights to third parties such as grocers and brands. This is how Tell Chester stays free.

Contributing this anonymous, aggregated data is part of using Tell Chester. If you do not wish to contribute, you can stop by deleting your account.
When you create or join a household, all members of that household can view shared data. This is by design — Tell Chester is a shared household tool. You control who you invite to your household.
We do not share your private, identifiable household data (lists, chats, vault) with anyone outside your household, ever. The only data that leaves your household is the anonymous, aggregated price data described above.

We do not send marketing emails or newsletters unless you explicitly opt in. You can disable reminders in the app.

❌ We never use your data to target you with third-party advertising.
❌ We never use children's data for any secondary purpose.
Tell Chester uses session cookies only to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel.
Tell Chester is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Contributing anonymous, aggregated shopping data is part of using the Service; if you prefer not to contribute, you can delete your account at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@tellchester.com. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are a Colorado resident, you have rights under the Colorado Privacy Act, including the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data, and to opt out of the sale of personal data. We do not sell personal (identifying) data — the community insights we may sell are aggregated and de-identified, and cannot be linked back to you. Contact us at hello@tellchester.com to exercise these rights.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Tell Chester after changes constitutes acceptance.
